TRACTOR SUPPLY FUNDRAISER AND MARKETING

September 11, 2013

Tractor Supply Company is having their Grand Opening on the same day as the Leader Forum, September 27-28. TSC is a corporate sponsor of 4-H at the national, state, and county level. They raise and donate dollars to 4-H programs. Information about the partnership is located at TSC-4-H website.

The Gunnison TSC store has provided us with a great fund raising opportunity on their Grand Opening day. They would like us to provide a bake sale and hot dogs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We are needing a club or a couple of volunteers to pull this second event off. TSC will provide a lot of the cost of goods along with the help from Atmos Energy (they will provide the grill) so the opportunity to raise some funds are good. Please contact Nadine for more details. The Extension office can coordinate and make this fund raiser as easy as possible. Definitely need some help on this one to get this great relationship off to a good start.

COWBOY ETHICS TRAINING

September 11, 2013

Cowboy Ethics is a set of timeless principles that make up the “Code of the West.” Colorado 4-H Foundation received a grant from the Daniels Fund to deliver training on this positive character building curriculum. There will be a Cowboy Ethics Training in Montrose on September 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All expenses are covered and transportation will be provided. The training is open to any leader and parent. Program resources can be used in a wide variety of programing at clubs, council, and committees. Contact Nadine for more information at 641-1260.
